Rachael and I went to have lessons on a complete trachy change. I was fairly nervous myself and as my nails are so long I decided that I must shorten them for the next lesson.
Lesley made it look so easy and Rachael actually did some suctioning..she did really well. I think with a little more practice Rachael and I will be fine. This will enable Jason and Lesley to go out once in a while..which will give them the respite they need. We were given other lessons in emergency procedure...hopefully that would not be necessary. We are building quite a team of helpers now including Harriet's own brothers who are now able to also give her the quality care she needs and they to can give a little respite to their parents when needed. Its all about team work and family unity which I am proud to say we have
